
New Delhi: The Islamic holy month of Ramzan or Ramadan will start from Friday (April 24, 2020) in Karnataka and Kerala because the moon has been sighted within the states, information company ANI stories. It used to be first observed in Kappad in Kerala’s Kozhikode after which in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Karnataka.

With the sighting of moon, the month-long holy month of Ramzan starts. Ramzan or Ramadan falls at the 9th month of the Islamic calendar and holds nice importance for the Muslim group around the globe. All the way through this holy month, Muslims apply speedy marking it as a gesture to revere the primary revelation of the Quran to Muhammad in line with Islamic trust.
