India pacers Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav united on Saturday for a “great training session” post the coronavirus lockdown in New Delhi. The speed kings also shared Instagrams pictures and videos from their work out sessions.

While Ishant Sharma hails from Delhi, Umesh Yadav in an recent interview had revealed that he was spending his time with his in-laws in Delhi for now.

In the video Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav can be seen doing slow sprints in a lush green park. “Guess who joined me for a great workout session today? Ishant Sharma captioned his pictures and video.

In a separate video posted by Umesh Yadav, the bowler can be seen running with weights tied to his body. “Felt great to get some training done in the park. With belief one can achieve one’s goal,” Umesh Yadav wrote alongside his video his video.

Other Indian cricketers including Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Mohammad Shami and Rohit Sharma have also shared their training videos recently. The fitness of the players will be tested after they come back on the field post coronavirus hiatus.

Experts and physios have already said that pacer will be more prone to the injuries than batters because they have missed running in fields during the coronavirus lockdown. They added that indoors can suit a batsman but for a bowler running is the most importamt for of excercise.

India is set to tour Australia for a 4-match Test series which starts from Decemeber and the fitness of the players will play a massive role. While Sourav Ganguly recently told India Today that the batsman will have to pile up massive runs on the scoreboard and pacers will have to remain fit for success Down Under, former Australia great Michael Hussey has opined that Indian bowlers will have to to work harder this time in the presence of Steve Smith and David Warner, who were not present in the 2018 series when India deated Australia in their own backyard.
