COVID-19: The transfer will assist in coping with the COVID-19 disaster because the kits are wanted for checking out.
New Delhi:
The federal government on Saturday put curbs on exports of diagnostic kits to deter shipments amid the coronavirus outbreak.
“The export of diagnostic kits (diagnostic or laboratory reagents on a backing, preparation diagnostic or laboratory reagents)… is particular with instant impact,” the Directorate Common of Overseas Industry (DGFT) mentioned in a notification.
The transfer would assist in coping with the COVID-19 crisis as those kits are required for testing of patients.
Previous, exports of those merchandise had been allowed with none restrictions. Hanging them below the limited class would imply that an exporter will now require a licence from the DGFT for outbound shipments.
