No less than 22 Bangladeshi nationals, together with 12 ladies, had been arrested for illegally staying in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police stated on Wednesday.
The arrests had been made after police raided huts in Rajodi village on overdue Tuesday night time, a police authentic stated.
A case has been registered beneath Indian Passport Act, 1920, and the Overseas Nationals Act, 1946, she stated.
“Those folks did not have any legitimate paperwork of their ownership,” the authentic stated, including that they had been doing petty jobs within the district.
